Lack of Numbers Cost CBFC
With both Mike and Robinson unavailable and Hoss having played just the fleeting game last match, Cillit Bang FC faced the problem of playing with just 5 players.
A man down and the match started evenly until a quick counter off Lambon's loose touch exposing the defense resulted in a goal down as it was fair to say expected for Cillit Bang FC. Luckily before the match could get much harder, the referee organised a spectator to help out Cillit Bang FC as the 6th player. The match quickly turned.
Goal 1-1 // 14 B. Stroud - Assist 4 Lambon
From back to front Cillit Bang FC neatly keep hold of possession as Lambon sends the ball out wide to B. Stroud, coming out on top from the defender he spots the keeper off his line and places the ball in the back of the net behind him.
Shots were scarce as neither side looked likely to score the next goal, unfortunately it was a defensive lapse where an attacker is let free to run onto the loose ball to score a similar goal to the first.
Penalty to Cillit Bang FC
B. Stroud wins the ball back and passes the ball to Pearson who draws the foul from the keeper inside the penalty box.
Stroud steps up to take the penalty and his decent effort is saved by the keeper and pushed onto the post, B. Stroud admitting his shot was too high.
Goal 2-2 // Pearson - Assist 17 Wrench
Lucho wins the ball back and passes to Wrench, after 3-4 passes between Wrench and Pearson, Wrench shifts the ball to the side past the goalkeeper for Pearson to slot home.
Little happened as the half drew to a close, Cillit Bang FC were delighted to level at half time after the season they have had.
Second Half
The start of the second half followed much like the first both teams sharing possession and neither finding their way through to goal. Lambon unlucky with his attempt on the halfway line which would of caught the keeper out.
A long ball from the goalkeeper caught out the CBFC defense this time as it gets in behind Lucho and for the third time in the match Cillit Bang FC go behind.
The fourth goal came from a breakaway and with the first shot rebounding off the post the attacker slides in 2 footed to bundle the ball into the net. With slide tackles in the rules not allowed, Cillit Bang FC felt the goal should have been disallowed.
In reply an immediate neat through ball down the left from B. Stroud lets Pearson in, his shot almost going in. With the next attack Cillit Bang FC work the ball out to Lambon who crosses the ball into the danger area, Wrench failing to make the run into the box in what was a great opportunity to score and get back into the match.
Kami Kha-Ri FC finished the match stronger adding a fifth.
