Quality Clinical Performance

A. Muppet was welcomed back into the side back from holiday while the weekly change of goalkeepers continuted with Doug coming back in, which meant Oscar was out through injury and Rizzo was unavailable. CIllit Bang FC laying 9th in the table were playing the only team below them in a bottom of the table clash.

The match kicked off or battle commenced as put by the referee. Beaker's tackle almost put in Swedish Chef within the first thirty seconds, a counter attack later and the ball was volleyed in by Steau Needarest and so CBFC were behind. Both teams tried to ask some questions yet could not really find anyway through to goal. Unless there was some sloppy piece of play like Doug coming out on the right to distribute the loose ball kicked it straight to Steau Needarest's striker, with an open goal to aim at Doug got back in the sticks in time to stop the on target effort.

The pressure high up on Steau Needarest was causing panic as they looked to get in behind the CBFC defense, the ball kept coming back, Swedish Chef putting in Beaker for the first shot of the game, Big Bird winning the header and quick thinking Kermit sidefooting the ball in Swedish Chef's direction, the ball laid off for A. Muppet to get in his strike, blocked for the corner.

Goal 1-1 4 Beaker - Assist 17 Swedish Chef

From defending a corner Swedish Chef wins the ball on the edge of the area, with a four man attack breaking up field he passes through to Beaker. A simple touch and classy lofted side foot finish over the keeper levels the scores. Beaker scores his first goal of the season.

Pushing on Kermit's effort was just passed the post as he looked to get back into scoring ways. In similar fashion to Kermit Swedish Chef's shot was past the post after some link-up play with Gonzo.

Second Half

Cillit Bang FC started the half on top having numerous shots blocked and the took the lead within a minute and doubled not long after that and then some with clinical striking of the ball.

Goal 2-1 14 Kermit

Gonzo wins the ball, Swedish Chef and Beaker exchange passes with a turn and shot from the Chef, as the ball is cleared it pinballs outside the box for Kermit to pounce upon and hit it into the bottom left corner.

Goal 3-1 17 Swedish Chef - Assist 14 Kermit

Kick-in to Beaker, goes on the outside of the player to Kermit, feeding the ball through the centre, Swedish Chef wraps his foot around the ball and smashing off the bar into the net.

Goal 4-1 4 Beaker - Assist 17 Swedish Chef

Another goal from a kick-in this time taken by A. Muppet to Swedish Chef, evading the defender and a bit of skill he picks out Beaker. First time shot placed very neatly in the bottom left corner for his second goal of the match and season.

The party soon turned sour, after A. Muppet was intercepted and the chipped ball over 3 CBFC players allowed the striker in to finish well lofting it over Doug in goal with their first shot of the second half. Nevertheless the match was still firmly in control with domintating possession, squeezing Steau Needarest out of options, forcing misakes, passing well. It was looking a great team performance all round. Though it was very fortunate in a bad bit of defending not conceding a third as the ball across goal and shot came back off the post.

The post was reverberating also on the other side of the pitch, back on the pitch Swedish Chef on the left wing swings his left foot, watching the ball crash off the post.

Goal 5-2 4 Beaker - Assist 14 Kermit

A. Muppet wins the ball, Beaker flicks his boot out for Kermit to chase after down the wing, cutting inside and skipping past the defender the shot is saved by the keeper. Beaker in the right place awkwardly hits the ball towards goal, bouncing off the post into the opposite side netting. The first Cillit Bang FC hat-trick for Beaker.

Going for more goals and looking to reduce the goal difference Gonzo winning the ball twice lets Swedish Chef pass across the box to Big Bird, the opposition goalkeeper blocked out the shot. The corner was worked well as Gonzo, A. Muppet and Swedish Chef linked up in a packed box and going close for the sixth goal. The win with great performances well deserved as the season kicks on.
