Taken to Task by the Mafia

Previous Results: Played 1 Won 1 - Playing the underprepared side first game of the season saw an unfair beating to the side with a man short.
First Half
Goal 0-1 // Tesco Mafia
Back to old ways conceding within the first minute, cheaply giving away possession the scorer is picked out unmarked just outside the box.
The rain was hammering down the conditions not the best, Tesco Mafia looked far more organised, new kit, a goalkeeper and newer players. After taking the lead the side preceded to dominate with patient passing around the pitch, they found themselves unlucky in hitting the post after one move broke through the centre of the box. For the blue side after soaking that up and with a chance to get into the game Nick H was on the end of the first attack placing the ball past the keeper, if not for the defender on the line it would of been a classy calm finish in front of goal.
Goal 1-1 // 5 Gonzo - Assist 14 Kermit
Similar to Tesco Mafia's goal coming with the first venture into the box CBFC did the same off the corner, Kermit picked out Gonzo with a driven cross, sidefooting confidently on the edge of the box the scores were level.
Great keeping from both keepers kept the scores as they were with an even game in terms of good chances, Tesco wasted a few shots Fozzie stopped the best chance. Gonzo brought the ball forward from a goalkick finding himself free on the end of the move in the box after great passing from Nick and Kermit to create the opening. The initial shot saved he could not get on the end of the rebound.
Goal 1-2 // Tesco Mafia
After a drop in play from Mafia a brief exchange of passes once the ball was won put the player in behind the defence, at last a good chance was put to bed. Having played the better of the sides for most of the half the side deserved their lead at half time.
Second Half
Goal 1-3 // Tesco Mafia
Seeking some directness the goal kick was taken to the unmarked striker, the player turned too easy, placing the shot with relative ease.
The team after going behind had and should have brought the scores closer before going even further behind. Gonzo intercepted a suicidal pass only to miss uncharacteristically when testing the keeper.
Goal 1-4 // Tesco Mafia
Facing the same mistakes as the third, another goal kick to the striker he finds all the space in the world to turn. Mafia create a 3 on 2 situation, the pass out to the wing significantly enhances the attack with a 3 on Kermit situation. The ball across the box and finish just too easy again.
Goal 1-5 // Tesco Mafia
Despite some promising movement up field the side struggled to get anything through Mafia's defence. Countering for the fifth goal little could be done with the finish, the one two was exemplary.
Goal 2-5 // 5 Gonzo
Having a taste of the CBFC medicine, Tesco Mafia lose their defence capabilities when Gonzo intercepts a hastily taken kick in. Finding he has wiped out all but one Tesco player with a 3 on 1 situation he jogs with the ball forward deciding to place the ball in the massive opening on the far right of the net. His shot blocked he carries on with a shot from the rebound with his left foot in the originally intended target of the net. Gonzo nets his first 6-a-side brace and first since 19th October 2010 against Misfits.
Goal 2-6 // Tesco Mafia
A good passing move stopped by Fozzie, immediately after setting Nick off with the ball he finds the ball flying over his head from a shot out on the wing, very close to getting a hand on the ball.
Goal 2-7 // Tesco Mafia
The striker was having joy in the middle of the pitch picking up the ball from a pass and turning, more often than not he would shoot as in the case for the seventh. A better defensive effort from the team however Fozzie thought the shot was going wide as it slipped just inside the post.
Goal 2-8 // Tesco Mafia
When Kermit ventures forward for a shot at goal the block deflects too kindly for the forward, despite a miss control CBFC are too far forward to make the job difficult.
Mafia could have scored a ninth with one of the only surviving members of the previous game looking to overcome those demoralising scars of defeat yet the ball skidded off his boot and out. A. Muppet had the ball just outside the box from Beaker's excellent piece of possession in the middle of the pitch he blew the great chance he had to get himself on the scoresheet for the first time this season.
Goal 2-9 // Tesco Mafia
With defending that would have made Tony Pulis cry Mafia waded forward, Fozzie having a tough night in the wet conditions constantly having the ball moved from side to side when attempting to keep these shots out.
Nick H tested the keeper at the end, Big Bird's header was his first shot but last touch from anyone of the game. With a goal almost every two shots it was a perfect night in front of goal for Tesco Mafia, however they could not claw back enough goals from the early season demolishing.
