Blatant Thuggery Not Punished
Team News: A. Muppet out with sickness, Oscar out with a foot injury, Rizzo unavailable and Hoss available for the second game in a row.
Previous Results: Played 3 Won 2 Lost 2 - The dirtiest side the team have come across, CBFC have turned early encounters from defeats into wins.
First Half
With Big Bird not available from the start no subs were available for most of the first half. AFC Boscombe had first chances. Gonzo should have scored the opener after persistent aggressive fouling from AFC Boscombe. With Gonzo tackling the ball back and Swedish Chef turning on goal, he evades the next defender setting up Gonzo... hitting with his left the shot on target is saved by the keeper with the follow up header looping over. Both Chef and Beaker from the previous 30 seconds taking a look at their shins from hard tackles.
Lose a foul - attack the ref, win a foul - abuse the opposition. With AFC B playing the ball around at the back it didn't take long for a bad pass to put themselves under pressure. Gonzo's side on volley was wide but luckily first to the ball was Chef in the box. With the keeper pushing and trying to catch the ball a completely unfair handball was called by a defender and then given by the referee. Clearly hard done by, having got to the ball first then pushed and punished, abuse ensued.
The game was progressively getting nastier. Barging opponents off the ball winning wrongly awarded kick ins. On the other boot an instance arose with a foul against CBFC, however with no contact on the player with the ball, clearly losing the control of the ball after playing around too much, there was cussing in the air and bemusement from the CBFC players.
Goal 0-1 // AFC Boscombe
With a two new players in the side Boscombe were a different prospect and after 5 minutes without a shot a goal is scored.
Trying to level the scores asap the ball falls for Kermit after receiving the ball for the second time off defenders constantly trying to play their way out of danger. Shooting from close range high up at the goal and saved well, the follow up shot on the other side of goal comes off the keeper. No corner is given and the keeper carries on.
Hoss went close after breaking forward cutting inside and shooting well with his left foot, he was unfortunate not to be played in on the second attack as he was free on the edge of the box. On the counter again a one on one just could not be converted, the great accuracy and speed of passing left Kermit putting through Chef, his shot was saved by the keeper when a simple pass back across goal would of given Kermit the a simple chance to score. With Beaker there for the follow up the midfielder running in blatantly knocks him right off balance, the referee awards a free kick at last in favour of the clear foul. Complaints to the ref while the other defender gives Beaker a dirty look then spits at him onto the floor. Utter disgusting behaviour.
CBFC Penalty Appeal
Hoss sends in a kick in, with Kermit beating his marker to the jump, he finds himself blatantly shoulder barged off balance making him miss the header. No penalty is given as no one is aware of the clear foul, the defender gets away with the unsportsmanship.
Kermit at the end of the half benefitted from a lack piece of play knocking the ball over the top of the defender (the same player who should have conceding a penalty and gave Kermit a whack on the shin during the previous encounter between the sides), after being beaten blocks off Kermit's run as blatant as you like, no foul is given by the referee.
Second Half
Both sides went close to scoring the next goal, a header across the goal from one of Boscombe's old regular players went close while Chef was wide of the mark up the other end. Fozzie made a good save with his feet to keep AFC Boscombe in check.
CBFC Injury (Knee) - 17 Swedish Chef
With the aggressive fouling throughout the game, a bad injury to Swedish Chef happened not long into the second half caused by the aggressive defender. Chef tackles the player only to run after the ball and barged off his run causing his left foot to land awkwardly while trapped on the turf causing his knee to bend out and back in. A 5 minute stoppage in the game is enforced while the Chef was seen to by the medics.
With Big Bird available now the rest of the side carried on with Hoss pushing further up. It did not take long for Hoss to run into a defender. Twice he knocked the ball past the player only to twice get fouled nowhere near the ball. The referee awarding the free kick on the second more obvious time, to the disgust of Boscombe. The side benefitted themselves when bulldozing Kermit off the ball, after bringing the ball forward taking a dive on minimal contact to con the ref into giving a free kick.

After an attack is broken down a surge forward results in a shot which Fozzie saves with feet, unlucky for him the deflection falls for a follow up shot.
Beaker was unlucky after almost scoring a beauty of a volley; Gonzo's backwards pass with the back of his head fell on Beaker's right foot for a dipping volley kept out by the keeper.
Goal 0-4 // AFC Boscombe
Too many players in attack off a corner and one lucky clearance gave the lone striker a little time at Fozzie, Hoss's recovery pressure hurried the shot as the volley was saved / caught by Fozzie. He was very unlucky that his elbow on the way down knocked the ball over him into the net.
Both Kermit and Big Bird went close to scoring a deserved goal at the very least. Dominating on shots the chances were not taken when one on one with the opposing keeper. Kermit nutmegged the defender evading a nasty challenge before finding the target / keeper. Big Bird had the easier chance, crazily he was given the ball by the defender on a plate, with such horrific play or a lovely bonus which way you look at it Big Bird's eyes lit up, just a shame for him that he struck the ball wide with time to set himself. An open goal beckoned for Gonzo on the following goal kick of which he could not take full advantage from range. With Hoss taking care of an open goal opportunity in the dying moments the game ended in dissappointment.
After having lost both fixtures both times last season the tactics were too overboard this time as the over physical side end the season for one of their fellow league opponents in just the second game.
