First Half

Scrappy and unpleasant on the eye could describe the horrific showing to the opening of the match. TDFC bossing the more time in the opposition penalty area yet neither side could settle. Kermit took a whack off a challenge limping off in need of a sub, forcing Big Bird on with his hamstring in doubt.

Goal 0-1 // TDFC

A counter attack off CBFC's best attack in the form of a corner. The scorer at the far post unmarked to slot the ball into the net despite Beaker, Big Bird and Fozzie all closing down the space.

Goal 0-2 // TDFC

Beaker's kick in towards the opposition box was cleared down pitch. Breaking through with too much ease the player did not even need to make a touch before taking his shot.

A. Muppet found his chances blocked on route to the keeper's goal, Fozzie made a quality diving save to prevent the lead increasing. Kermit won a foul after cutting inside from his dribble, hacked down unsubtle as you like. This created the best chance off the free kick's deflection, Gonzo though could not get the ball through the mass of players on the line. Gonzo came off lucky not to cause damage to a defenders leg after the sound of the players shinpad verberated around the pitch from the hard missed kick on a shot.

Second Half

Having to take the game to them CBFC should have scored the first with a neat one two Nick M combining with Kermit to smash the ball just past the post. Big Bird and Kermit this time working forward to pressure the defence winning a free kick from the back pass, Big Bird could not get the ball through the wall with Nick M hassling the TDFC keeper.

Beaker's corner met at the highest point by Nick M nodding the ball goalwards as he out jumps his marker scoring his second goal for the side.

CBFC Injury (Hamstring) - 8 Big Bird

Chasing after a ball down the wing Big Bird pulls up with a hamstring strain as feared at the start of the game.

The equaliser would not come and neither did it look at all likely. The shots came from distance, the attackers could not break through the packed TDFC defence who played on the break. It took 10 minutes to get a shot on Fozzie's goal, the save was good the follow up goal saving clearance from Gonzo was even better. Nick M coming off as sub for the last part of the game took away one of the likely sources of the equaliser. Kermit the other likely to score a goal had his chance cutting in on the right yet on his left cold not hit the target as TDFC on their sixth attempt get points of CBFC.
