Bukta started the ball rolling taking full advantage of a Sahin mistake at the back to go into the lead. This rubbed salt in the wounds after Gotze's horrible miss at an open goal a couple minutes earlier, Lewandowski the player setting the striker up. 2-0 was the undesired call after a long range stunner coming off a counter attack followed. Gotze put his earlier miss to the back of his mind testing his own luck from range, he was right with the fortune of a slight deflection leaving the ball to roll underneath the keeper's arms.
With a few long range shots already beating both keepers a third reinstated Donesk's two goal cushion. Fortunately the combination of Gotze and Sahin worked again with a fine far corner strike to make the last few minutes interesting. Both sides had superb chances to score the next vital goal. Bukta had the first striking wide, Gotze on his hat-trick flicked the ball at the keeper and subsequently denied. They hung onto the win despite Daddy venturing into the opposition box in a last second desperation set piece.
